The Metal Framework Technician works on all types of buildings, public works, and industrial equipment, in machining workshops and on construction sites. Their main mission consists of studying the metallurgy project, designing structures, and ensuring compliance with standards, execution plans, quality, and the operational schedule.
That is why at IFMBTP, we are committed to training Specialized Technicians in Metal Framework capable of translating consultations into 2D and 3D plans, implementing them using conventional or digital tools, and overseeing the assembly and erection of structures under the best working conditions.

Specialized Technician in Metal Framework Training Program

Lasting 2,175 hours spread over two years, the IFMBTP training program dedicated to Specialized Technicians in Metal Framework is based on a work-study system combining theory and practical fieldwork. It is structured into 29 modules and three practical internships, allowing trainees to train alternately at their training institute and in a professional environment.

Practical internships are a fundamental component of the Specialized Technician in Metal Framework training. They allow you to work in a concrete professional context and to develop your technical skills directly in the field. During the three internships, you will participate in the design, manufacturing, and erection of metal structures. You will learn to read and interpret workshop and assembly plans, use specific machines, assemble elements in the workshop, and coordinate lifting and installation operations on site. These experiences will allow you to apply theoretical knowledge acquired in training, to sharpen your technical rigor, and to prepare effectively for the demands of the profession in the metal construction sector.

Admission Requirements for the Specialized Technician in Metal Framework Program

To access the Specialized Technician in Metal Framework program, trainees must:

  • Hold a scientific baccalaureate, an equivalent diploma, or a technician diploma in a specialization field allowing access to Metal Framework training.
  • Be at least 17 years old
  • Selection based on application file
  • Pass the oral interview

Trainees must also possess the following qualities: observational skills, rigor, autonomy, dynamism, stress resistance, organization, and analytical and synthesis abilities.
